Acquiring woody plants in Grow a Garden requires a blend of luck, planning, and smart currency management. Each plant can be obtained through different sources: Chests & Seed Packs: Options like the Culinarian Chest, Summer Seed Pack, and Zen Seed Pack may contain a variety of woody plants. Shops: The Seed Shop, Summer Merchant Shop, Honey Shop, Twilight Shop, and Night Seed Pack feature rotating selections, making them essential for securing rarer plants. Event Stores: Limited-time events, such as the Summer Shop, provide exclusive opportunities to collect special woody plants.

In Grow a Garden, plants fall into different categories—and Woody Plants play a key role. These aren't ordinary crops; they fuel the magical Beanstalk growing at the center of your garden. When an NPC nearby has a thought bubble, it indicates which plant type is needed to help the Beanstalk grow!

The Beanstalk Update adds an exciting new mechanic: to make the Beanstalk grow, you'll need to feed it specific woody plants. Each plant is worth between 2 and 7 points, based on its rarity. Common plants grant smaller gains, while legendary and mythical varieties yield the highest rewards.

Without woody plants, Beanstalk growth comes to a halt. The counter above the Beanstalk tracks valid contributions, and only the correct plant types are accepted. Overlooking this requirement—or failing to prepare a stockpile—can leave players stuck, unable to climb higher or unlock rewards.
